Black Box Dance Theater

Join us for a live performance, documentary film, and conversation featuring Black Box Dance Theatre (BBDT), known for powerful storytelling, compelling performances, and a commitment to using movement for connection. The performance features excerpts from Patriot’s Path, performed by BBDT including founding member Alfredo Hurtado, a Purple Heart combat-wounded U.S. Army veteran. This sets the stage for a screening of We Lift Each Other—an award-winning documentary that bears witness to an artist-led model of hope and community engagement. A conversation will follow with artists and participants about art, service, and the power of belonging.
