Book Signing at the Bank of the Arts

Craven Arts Council & Gallery is proud to host a book signing of two local authors on April 13^th. Victor Dove and Truth Is are co-authors of The Mortician’s Grave, a mystery/thriller about two families who become intertwined on a nationwide smuggling operation. Jameesha Harris is a proud author of Rich In Love, a transformative guide about self-discovery and empowerment. Rich in Love covers long and short term self-love strategies, as well as shares heartfelt stories that can lead to a life both rich in love and finances. 

Victor Dove is a native of New Bern, NC, who proudly embraces his identity as a Southern gentleman. Victor wears many hats including that of a funeral director, a perfumer, and a staunch supporter of education and children. Married with a beloved daughter, Victor finds immense joy in family life and cherishes the role of a devoted husband and father. He has a passion for storytelling and uses his diverse background to draw inspiration from his experiences. Victor Dove is a visionary storyteller whose tales reflect the boundless depths of his imagination and the richness of his life’s journey.

Jameesha Harris, who is originally from Albany, New York, has been making a significant impact in New Bern for the past 13 years. Earning her MBA with honors from Winston-Salem State University, Jameesha is the proud owner of a successful real estate company in North Carolina and co-founder of the Young Urban Professionals of ENC. Beyond her professional success, Jameesha has emerged as a pillar of positive change in her community. She has served in key roles, including as a former Alderwoman for Ward 2 and Co-Founder of Juneteenth of New Bern. Governor Roy Cooper recognized her dedication by appointing her as a Commissioner to the NC Human Relations Board, highlighting her commitment to equality.
