ArtWalk: May 12 • 5-8pm
Community Artist Gallery will showcase “Plein Air Paintings” from Coastal Carolina Plein Air Painters for the month of May. The NC Plein Air Art Festival is May 14-21.
The Artists of the month are; Sue Callahan and Heide Lock, painters. Wendy Johnson is a lamp worker. Alisha Mike will provide music for ArtWalk.
Heide Lock works with acrylic and oil paints. She loves to paint local scenes of marshland and the ocean.
Sue Callahan is using acrylic to put her emphasis on poured backgrounds with a detailed painting on top.
Wendy Johnson is an award winning lampworker, she makes jewelry and beautiful art objects.
The “Emerging Artist” is Carol More; she creates intuitive mixed media and oil/cold wax paintings. Carols art is displayed in the upstairs Studio Annex.

CAGS is non-profit and staffed by all participating artists.
