Ruby & Gail is a new business located at 2122 Trent Blvd, offering a wealth of luxury handmade body care products, podiatry-focused pedicures, and reflexology for hands and feet.
Owner Stephanie Brady says, “we believe in nurturing your body with the utmost care and luxury. Whether you’re managing a health condition or simply deserve a moment of indulgence, we’re here for you, because you deserve expert care and luxurious pampering.”
Ruby & Gail began as an online store in October 2023, and was met with so much success that Stephanie decided to open a physical location in November of 2024. “Ruby & Gail offers a luxurious range of vegan, tree-nut free skincare products including body oils, lip cosmetic products, body butters, body scrubs, and unique salves designed to nourish and hydrate the skin. Our formulations feature natural ingredients and delightful scents. We ensure a pampering experience for every customer,” says Stephanie.
The top-selling products are the Lavender Lilac and Lavender Spearmint body oils, that in the summertime, double as natural bug repellants. Other popular choices are the luxury cuticle oil and the Pearadise Lip Nectar.
As a NC licensed manicurist working in Craven county for 27 years, Stephanie wanted to continue to provide safe, professional services to the community and high-quality, chemical free skin care products. By creating a welcoming space, and a focus on natural ingredients, the store promotes well-being for customers.
Stephanie learned the art of making skin care products from her grandmother: “I have been making products for my family and myself for years! My grandmother, Ruby, taught me how to cold-press plants and flowers to extract oil. About 5 years ago, my cousin was entering her first year of college and had eczema on her scalp. A lot of beauty products have tree-nut oils and she is very allergic. I made products to help her scalp and condition her hair. Now, all of Ruby & Gail products are tree nut free because many people in my family have allergies. Gail is my mother, and I decided to name the business after wonderful women in my family who have inspired me to be my best authentic self.”
