Meet Stormy Blu — a six year old, beautiful Black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as big as her name. Born during the winds of Hurricane Florence, Stormy was the 11th pup in a litter of 12. At just 7 weeks old and 4 ½ pounds, she “Blu in with the storm” and straight into the hearts of Gary and Tammy, choosing them as much as they chose her.
A blend of Lab and Golden Retriever (confirmed by her DNA test), Stormy’s loving temperament is as natural as the sunshine after a storm. She’s never met a stranger, but her favorite people are kids — especially those who can throw a ball or lead her to a swimming pool. Combine the two, and you’ve got one blissful pup.
Beyond her playful spirit, Stormy holds a very important job. She’s a trained and certified Service Dog for her owner, and she takes her role seriously. When her vest is on, it’s all business. But when it comes off, Stormy returns to being the sweet, lovable, ball-chasing girl everyone adores.
Her favorite treat? A comforting bowl of chicken and rice — reserved for special occasions or those days when she needs a little extra love. Stormy Blu is more than just a pet; she’s a loyal companion, a healer, and a bright, joyful spirit who reminds us all that sometimes, the best things in life blow in when you least expect them.
