Bites on a Board, located inside Jenna’s Just-In Boutique, at 2025 S. Glenburnie Rd creates beautifully prepared charcuterie boards with meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits and veggies, dips, sauces, crackers, nuts and sweet treats.

The desserts are made in-house like seasonal cookies, brownies, lemon squares, chocolate mousse, banana pudding, and cupcakes. Platters are artfully arranged, based on the number of people sharing the board, and can customized according to the customer’s taste.  The event grazing tables are particularly impressive, and would be ideal for bridal or baby showers, weddings or holiday parties.

Bites on a Board has a small bite special everyday which includes Taco Tuesday, Wine and Cheese Wednesday, Triple Salad Thursday, Fun Fridays and Saturday sliders.

This charming little eatery, owned by Colleen Iacch and Stacy Rhinehart, is their dream come true, and it spawned out of a friendship that began in 2019.  Their vision of their store front was to create a French-style bistro with the feeling that patrons were sitting outside of their specialty shop.

Colleen and Stacy, who grew up in Chicago and Detroit, respectively, met in Atlantic Beach.  They became fast friends and began spending time together dining out, critiquing food presentation, and eventually considering owning a business together.  With their combined backgrounds in retail, design, decorating and business, the artistry of charcuterie boards became particularly appealing.

“When we would go shopping together we were both drawn to boards…they just pulled us in,” says Colleen.  “We both have loved entertaining throughout our lives and making the boards is so creative, with many different ingredients and possibilities.”

“We wanted to bring something new to New Bern, that they didn’t already have,” says Stacy.  “So we started creating the boards, as well as food pairings with wine and cheese, and exploring recipes for our small bites plates.”

Bites on a Board started as a cottage industry where they created the platters out of their homes in 2019, and Colleen and Stacy moved into their current space on Glenburnie in 2022.

“I love working with Stacy,” says Colleen.  “She entertains me because she is so sassy.”

“I look up to Colleen,” says Stacy.  “She has filled a void in my life, and now, we are both excited to see what the future holds.”
