Beaux and Bella are the self-proclaimed King and Queen of New Bern! You’ll see these five year old brother-sister Pekingese parading around downtown daily. They recently adopted their parents, Nicole and Paul, who moved to New Bern last June after Paul retired from being a professor of education at the University of Hawaii since 1993. Nicole and Paul decided to buy a big old house in the historic district in January, at the same time their neighbor was selling his place on Metcalf and looking for a new home for Beaux and Bella. So Nicole and Paul moved into their new 170 year old house, and so did the two white fluffy comedians! This darling pair have shown a fluctuating awareness of the word “Come”, but respond instantly to “Treats”, “Chow” and “Walk”! All four members of the family are now deliriously happy living together in the friendliest town in the universe!
