Opie is a five year old Bearded Dragon!
Barb and Jim got their very unusual pet from a wonderful breeder in Mt Airy, NC.
Opie enjoys laying in the sun in the sunroom and exploring the house.
Barb says, “I taught him to climb up his ramp to get to his basking ledge in the sunroom, where he can enjoy his favorite treat, Repashy Pumpkin Pie Gel.“
“Opie is a very laid back lizard who doesn’t let things bother him,” says Jim. “Even when two different dogs tried to see if he was a squeaky toy by nipping at his nose. He has a personality and sometimes even an attitude. Opie loves to snuggle at night before bedtime.”
Barb and Jim are both retired and moved to New Bern in 2020. Jim has a woodworking business where he designs and makes cutting boards, charcuterie boards and small tables.
