Violet is a four-year-old Ausiedoodle, and the story behind how Violet was discovered by Paul and Rosemary is a remarkable one:
According to Paul, “She came along shortly after we lost our Daisy (also an Aussiedoodle) to Lyme disease. It was a terrible affliction, and devastating to us. About a week after her death, my wife and I were shopping for plants, and I said to her ‘If we ever get another dog, I’d like to name her Violet.’ My wife replied ‘if.’ The following Wednesday, I was taking a break at work and decided to check online for Aussiedoodle pups for sale. I clicked on the first link that appeared, and in the very middle of the page of pictures showing breeders’ pups from around the country, was an Aussiedoodle with the same phantom markings as our dear Daisy. The caption below read: ‘Hi! My name is Violet.’ We were on our way to Ohio, where she was located, from upstate NY,” he says.
Violet loves to play toss with the ball and taking walks, but her favorite activity is ‘the sock game’. Paul says, “When you are getting changed if you leave your socks on the floor unattended, she will sneak up while you’re not looking, grab your socks, and hide them somewhere in the house! She loves showing you how clever she is in her hiding places. There have been times when we cannot find them, and say to her ‘I give up’. Then, when you are not looking, she will retrieve them, and place them in plain sight. It’s a daily game with treats to follow. She loves people, especially kids, and is a great watchdog. She gets lots of love and affection.”
